Dishonored is a first person action-adventure video game. It has been developed by Arcane studios for Microsoft Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. The Knife of Dunwall features as downloadable content and it makes an already intense game even more exciting and enigmatic. Just as some cars like Mercs and Beemers have beefed up AMG and M-Class versions, similarly The Knife of Dunwall is like Dishonored on steroids! The pace is absolutely electrifying and the DLC adds a completely new dimension to the game. The Knife of Dunwall is just the first half of the 2 part DLC series that was envisioned by the creators – the second half is titled The Brigmore Witches and will be released later in 2013.

In the original game, the player – Corvo Attano is a bodyguard to the Empress of Dunwall. Dunwall is a heavily industrialized city that has been afflicted by plague. In a malicious conspiracy that will forever change the future of the city, the Empress is murdered and Corvo is accused of the crime. A belligerent power struggle breaks out in the city; Attano becomes an assassin and begins to take revenge against those who framed him for the murder. He is helped by a group of people known as The Loyalists and also by ‘The Outsider’ – a mysterious entity which grants him magical powers. The Knife of Dunwall presents the game from the perspective of another character named Daud. Daud is the true killer of Empress Jessamine and the DLC version exposes his side of the story. What you knew was just the tip of the iceberg! So get ready to be bewitched by an enchanting tale of personal conflicts, treachery and of course some blood curdling violence!

Just like the original game, The Knife of Dunwall is characterized by some fantastic gameplay. This is surely one of the best video games belonging to the action-adventure genre. The most sensational aspect of the gameplay is that the story changes according the actions of the player. The decisions you make, the amount of violence you inflict and your modus operandi play a crucial role in shaping the plot. This dynamic nature of the game ensures that every person has a unique experience! The Knife of Dunwall retains all the signature features of Dishonored – however, Daud has several extraordinary abilities such as Dark Vision and Chokedust. He also has access to an elaborate arsenal of weapons including a variety of guns, stun mines, bows and arc mines. Daud uses a devastating combination of stealth and combat to wipe out his enemies. DLC also features a higher difficulty or a Master Assassin level which unlocks after completing missions successfully.

The Knife of Dunwall has phenomenal visual appeal! It features several new locations – the most enchanting among them is the whale slaughterhouse. Dishonored has received universal acclaim for its marvelous graphics and it earned a nomination in the Best Graphics category of the Spike Video Game Awards.

Whom is the Game Suitable For?

Owing to its extremely violent nature, the game is not suitable for individuals who are below 12 years of age.
